Junior Golf Program
The Junior Golf Program encompasses a variety of golfing activities for youth golfers. Leagues offer anopportunity to golf with fellow junior golfers while expanding golf skills. Instruction allows junior golfers to practice, develop and use techinques with the help of golf professionals.
Junior Golf League
Phalen Park Golf Course will be offering a Junior Golf League for the 2009 Season. The Junior league will meet on Wednesdays with pairings and tee times starting at 12:00 p.m.
Each Junior will play 9 holes of golf. Our Teaching Pro will be on the course each week with tips and instruction. The Pro will also video each Junior and make comments on a personalized CD for them to keep. (The CD will be available towards the end of the league). The last day of the league we will have an on the course skills competition with prizes awarded from the Pro!
The league will run June 17 - August 05. The cost of the league is $100.00 and includes Greens Fees for 9 holes, personalized CD and skills competition. The League is open to Juniors ages 10-16 with previous golf experience.
Juniors will be paired up based on age and skill level and will have a set tee time each week. On the registration form they will be able to sign up with friends and be paired with them each week. Unfortunately, there will be no make ups due to weather. The Pro will contact you prior to the start of the league with the first weeks tee time and other details.
First Tee, a Junior Golf Program
The First Tee Mission is to improve the lives of young people by providing learning facilities and educational programs that promote character-development and life-enhancing values through the game of golf. The First Tee offers classes to kids as young as 4 years old through high school aged students. The emphasis is having fun and learning the great game of golf.
