Junior Golf
Phalen Park Golf Course will be offering a Junior Golf League for the 2011 Season. The Junior league will meet on Wednesdays with pairings and tee times starting at 12:00 p.m.
Each Junior will play 9 holes of golf. Our Teaching Pro will be on the course each week with tips and instruction. The Pro will also video each Junior and make comments throughout the league on their swing and course management skills.
The league will run on Wednesdays June 22 - August 17. The cost of the league is $100.00 and includes Greens Fees for 9 holes. The League is open to Juniors ages 8-16 with previous golf experience.
Juniors will be paired up based on age and skill level and will have a set tee time each week. On the registration form they will be able to sign up with friends and be paired with them each week.
Unfortunately, there will be no make ups due to weather. The Pro will contact you prior to the start of the league with the first weeks tee time and other details.
If you are looking to play competitive golf, please consider the Phalen Men's Golf League. Phalen has over 100 members and this year alone will run 51 official club events. If you are sitting on a waiting list for a golf club, wait no longer, as we currently have no waiting list and are open to new members.
Your membership in PPMGC gives you many benefits, the most important being the preferred tee times for Saturday and Sunday mornings. Unlike many golf clubs, we tee off in a block of tee times from 7:00AM until all of our groups are on the course.
As a member of our club you are also an associate member of both the MGA and the MPGA. This makes you eligible to play in events sponsored by those organizations. You also receive a GHIN number and bi-weekly handicap updates based on your entered scores.
Women's Club
The Phalen Women’s Golf Club is an 18-hole golf club with club play on Wednesdays through Sundays with reserved morning tee times for a 22-week season. USGA handicap and Rules of Golf are used for weekly event competitions.
Yearly membership dues are around $65.00-$70.00, which includes membership in the Minnesota Golf Association, provision of a USGA handicap, and prizes.
